How to Be Safe, Calm and Happy in Difficult Times

How to Be Safe, Calm and Happy in Difficult Times

We’re living in tough times right now. The spread of the Coronavirus has caused a great deal of fear, uncertainty, and upheaval all over the planet. Many of you were already struggling with your relationship with your dog before the outbreak.

Now, with self-quarantine well underway and having to keep a safe social distance from other people, it’s safe to assume that you’ve got even more stress, worry, and concern looming over you like a grey cloud on a drizzly Tuesday.

Talk about filling up your stress buckets!

Remember that if you’re anxious and stressed, your dog probably is too. This is because your dog looks to you for guidance, security, and leadership. If the leader is distraught and fearful, the whole pack becomes distraught and fearful.

This is why I focus so strongly on building a safe, calm, and happy lifestyle partnership with our dogs. We all want our dogs to be happy and I’ve dedicated most of my life to helping thousands of dog parents from all over the world create a brilliant partnership lifestyle with their four-legged fluffy friends.

I teach helpful and effective principles that I call the Dancing Hearts Partnership Method. These principles have been proven to help dog parents connect and communicate with their dogs.

In times like this, when it seems like the whole world is upside down, it’s more important than ever that you and your dog are there for each other. You can learn to support each other during difficult times like this and through troublesome times in your personal life.

“It’s going to help take your mind off of the stress and overwhelm”

You and your dog are a team. When everything else seems noisy, dark, and scary, you can depend on your dog to be there for you, just like you’re there for them too.

Planting the seed of trust in your relationship with your dog

When difficult times strike, we’re often left blind-sighted and confused. Who could have predicted a worldwide pandemic would happen in 2020? Yet, here we are, and we have to find ways to cope with it.

In the midst of all the panic, our dogs know something is up. They sense your uneasiness and unfortunately, this might cause them to mimic those feelings too.

As a holistic dog behaviour coach, I believe that you should have the tools needed to help support your relationship with your dog, no matter what distractions are going on. Inside the Brilliant Partners Academy, we achieve this by minimizing trust leaks, learning how to better understand your dog, and build a heart connected relationship together.

Trust isn’t built with treats or difficult training methods. If your dog trusts you to keep them safe, calm, and happy, they will want to listen to you. You become a team or a pack and at the heart of the pack is trust.

Even when the world seems like it’s falling to pieces, we have the ability to empower ourselves with the freedom that comes with learning how to be a brilliant partner for and with our dogs.

The birth of Dancing Hearts

Dancing Hearts started as a dream. I wanted to spend as much time in nature as possible. I wanted to be close to my animals and I especially loved dogs and horses (not much has changed in that regard!)

But…the dream grew deep roots. It embedded itself inside my heart and I knew that we are all connected in this magnificent web of life. Humans, animals, our beloved dogs – we’re all connected.

I believe that our hearts hold the secret for happy living. I also realized that our beloved companions could help us to learn those secrets.

“We’re all connected in this magnificent web of life”

Spreading this message to the world through my Brilliant Partnership Academy and Dancing Hearts Principles became my life mission. I knew other dog moms could discover the same deep connection that I had built with my dogs and better yet, they could do it without dominance-based or transactional-based training.

So, Dancing Hearts was born. I based all of my teachings on developing a deep connection with dogs built on trust. When two hearts are connected, they dance together in perfect harmony…and that’s what I want to help you achieve through your relationship with your dog.

Heart Inspired Principles

My members and I have some heart inspired principles that we live by. I’d like to share a few of them with you…

1. Role model compassion and respect for all living things

2. Nurture play, laughter, connection, peacefulness, and balance

3. Inspire a creative, abundant, holistic, and heart centred approach to life

4. Infuse each day with gratitude

5. Listen and speak from your heart

6. Honor the sacred spirit that is in every living thing on earth

….these principles are the essence of Dancing Hearts.

The Brilliant Partners Academy

Although it seems like the world is in turmoil, we can still feel safe, calm, and happy…and so can our dogs.

If you have a reactive, fearful, hyper, anxious, or sensitive dog, it can often feel like your own world is falling apart around you. Your dog is trying to tell you something and since they can’t talk it out, they act it out.

The light at the end of the tunnel is that you can learn to listen to your dog using the Dancing Hearts Partnership lifestyle method. As a member of BPA, you’ll learn how to help you and your dog feel safe and calm and happy so that you can enjoy life together.

When you build a partnership lifestyle with your dog, you two can handle anything that life has to throw at you, just like what we’re all experiencing right now with COVID-19.

A Partnership Lifestyle means you and your dog will be attentive and responsive partners, enjoying life and blossoming together.

Whether your dog has behavioral issues now or you want to stop new troublesome behaviors from developing in the future, the Brilliant Partners Academy will be with you every step of the way.

You can listen to everything I talked about in this blog post over on my podcast – Enlightened By Dogs. It’s episode 96, which you can listen to here.
